GIOVANNI ALESSI ANGHINI (Milan,1981) for Alessi. Pop-up" lid remover. 2008. Stainless steel. With marks of the firm and the author. Measurements: 10 x 8 x 8 cm. In the Spring/Summer 2008 collection Alessi edits the new Pop-Up Bottle Opener. This beautiful piece has been designed by Giovanni Alessi Anghini, great-grandson of Giovanni Alessi, founder of the company. This polished stainless steel bulb has a magnet that holds the cap when pressed to open the bottle. Giovanni Alessi Anghini began his professional training at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. In 2002 he returned to Milan with the intention of applying his studies to industrial design. He collaborates with companies such as ALESSI, PHILIPS, VITRA, VERSACE, FOREVERLAMP, gaining experience in them and as an external consultant from his studio GAA Design Farm, founded in 2006.
