Portrait of Prince Ferdinand-Philippe, Duc d'Orléans (1810-1842), posing in front of the garden of the Château de Saint-Cloud.
Lithograph signed by Luigi Calamatta (1802-1869), heightened with gouache, bearing on the lower part the ribbon with bouffette of the Order of the Legion of Honor that belonged to the Duc d'Orléans. The whole is preserved under glass in its original carved and gilded wooden frame by Maison Leblond. A handwritten inscription on the back reads: "property of the Duchess", so it is possible that this was his wife, the Duchesse d'Orléans, born Princess Hélène de Mecklembourg-Schwerin (1814-1858). Some foxing and age-related wear to frame, but overall good condition.
