History: The Théâtre de la Chauve-Souris was one of Moscow's artistic and theatrical curiosities, under the artistic direction of Nikita Balieff. Very popular until the Russian Revolution of 1917. Then in exile, Balieff presented vaudeville shows under the same name with other Russian émigrés. La Chauve-Souris opened in Paris in December 1920, the first program of this event.
