Giuseppe Galli da Bibiena (Parma 1696-Berlin 1757) - Representation theater Primarius mm 343 x mm 530, in lacquered and painted frame cm 45 x cm 63 engraving J.A. Pfeffel Calcographer 1674-1748 He worked in Vienna for the Habsburgs and in 1723 was awarded the position of ''First Theater Engineer.'' He also lent his services in Linz, Graz, Prague, and Munich. He worked on the decorations of the opera house in Vienna and later (1747) also on the decorations of the opera house in Breda (Saxony). From 1753 he was permanently in Berlin on assignments from Frederick II of Prussia called ''The Great.'' He died in Berlin in March (12) 1957.
