Great custody in silver in its color and gilded Spanish silver, Mellerio Madrid, with old cut diamonds and pearls. Inscription and dedication engraved around the base. Silver. The French jewelry and goldsmith house was for many years the trusted jeweler of the French Royal House and in the second half of the 19th century founded a new establishment in Madrid becoming suppliers of Queen Elizabeth II and the Spanish nobility. Throughout the twentieth century the firm diversified with Charles Mellerio (1879-1978) and also became an important manufacturer of religious objects. In Spain, the chalice preserved in Patrimonio Nacional from the Monastery of the Descalzas Reales or the Crown of the Virgen de la Antigua de Guadalajara made in 1930 stand out. Weight: 6,475 kg.
