IBIS STATUETTE
The animal is represented lying down, the body carved in wood, the bronze legs cast separately and the head inserted into the body, with a bronze tail section, the legs bent with tenons underneath and long talons, with a sinuous shape. Curved neck and beak, incised feather details on legs and tail.

A Late to Ptolemaic period wood and bronze Recumbent Ibis. Depicted lying down, the body carved from wood, the bronze legs cast separately and the head inserted into the body, with a bronze tail section, the legs folded over with tenons underneath and long claws, with a sinuous form. Curved neck and beak, details of leg and tail feathers incised. 664-30 BCE
