Provenance: with William Redford, Mount Street, London, in 1981. by descent, Private Collection, UK. Note: The present pair of paintings appears strongly influenced by Lavagna's work, particularly in the inclusion of the blue-and-white pottery which sits precariously on the ledge below, a distinctive characteristic which reappears throughout Lavagna's oeuvre.
