Arnaldo De Lisio, Italian 1869-1949- Boats in a harbour; oil on canvas, signed 'A. de Lisio' (lower left), 40 x 50.4 cm. Provenance: Property of European Private Collection. Note: The present work is a typical example of De Lisio's characteristic colourful and Impressionistic style. The artist revisited the subject of boats bobbing in a Mediterranean harbour many times throughout his career, clearly fascinated by the glimmering reflections of sunlight on the water.
