Beautiful, sober court sword, last third of the 18th century, triangular blade with three hollow sides (the main side is extremely pronounced), iron marcasite frame, full smooth oval guard plate, scalloped edge, two figurative donkey steps, oblong faceted pommel and prominent rivet knob. Fine, single, four-sided hilt with curved center, forward-arched quillon, faceted shuttle spindle. No scabbard, slight oxidation from use.
