Beautiful sword from the early 19th century, triangular blade with three hollow sides, blued and gilded in thirds, complex chased gilt-bronze mounting, pommel in the shape of a crook, single guard limb with two confronting eagle heads in the center, fighting over an orb, lion-head quillon, symmetrical main guard plate richly decorated in relief with an allegory: cornucopia, tables of the law, antique bust, caduceus, world map... Wooden plates formerly covered with mother-of-pearl (missing). No scabbard.
