Superb oriental-style saber, beautiful curved blade in gray damascus (wootz?), counter-edge at the tip. Bronze-mounted weapon, long quillon hilt cruise with domed nailhead termination, symmetrical auricles overhanging the chappe cover for one and embedded in the spindle for the other, dark horn spindle set, highly arched pommel, fingerprints. The guard chain has disappeared. A sheet of brass covers the flat sole of the grip, covering the edge of the latter. In its sheet steel scabbard, two wide brass bracelets with concave sides support two bronze rings, steel pommel stinger.
