Attractive Oriental-style saber, first third of the 19th century, beautiful flat-back curved blade, polished, nickel-plated and acid-etched two-thirds of the way through with scrolls of foliage and trophies of arms, counter-edge, iron-mounted weapon, symmetrical steel cruciform, straight olive-ended quillon, symmetrical aurillon overhanging the scabbard and embedded in the spindle, grip in stock, black horn plates mounted on a flat sole in its sheet steel scabbard with two wide bracelets. Black tie strap, olive trimmed with gilded herringbone piping.
