Superb modern replica of a percussion blunderbuss made by the late Narcisse Texido, a gunsmith in Grenade sur Garonne who made around a hundred of these blunderbusses for the "Bravades" held every year in Saint Tropez. Perfectly crafted weapon, three-stage octagonal barrel, then multifaceted, then round, in bronze, heavily blunderbussed at the muzzle, 12-bore caliber, smoothbore. Front percussion lock, unmarked, chimney on inertia block. Brass-mounted weapon, beautiful varnished walnut frame. Designed for blank firing, compatible with projectiles but untested. Functional mechanism. Overall length: 940 mm Condition 1 Category D weapon
