French Model 1857 snuffbox rifle, 18 mm caliber, manufactured by the Manufacture Nationale de Saint Étienne, rear of breechblock broken, gun polished white with ramrod, functional mechanism. Walnut frame received in September 1868 with pin marked M.I. (Manufacture Impériale), adjustable rear sight, working mechanism. Bright, visible scratches, barrel needs cleaning. With bayonet.
