Siliceous clay with polychrome painted decoration under transparent colorless glaze

Size: 24 x 24 cm
This tile features a poly-lobed mandorla surrounded by saz leaves on a cobalt-blue background with white flowers. The central medallion is decorated with Mongolian-inspired tchi clouds in white and cobalt on a turquoise background. The decoration is executed in the characteristic palette of Damascus productions in eggplant, green, cobalt and turquoise.
