Text on the recto in elegant chancery script, black ink. At the end the date "Donné à Paris le Sizieme jour du november ... 1643." Signature "Par le Roy Chesnelong" on the plica. Good condition. Nicolas Bihorel (-1675) receives, on behalf of the King who was five years old at the time, the prestigious position of Corrector of the Counts of Normandy. The Chamber of Accounts of Normandy was, under the Ancien Régime, a sovereign court specializing in the financial affairs of the Duchy of Normandy. It had, among other positions, two 'Correcteurs'.
