Diptych, Ôban tate-e (vertical). 360x490 mm. Sign: "Toyokuni ga," in a red Toshidama cartouche. Publisher: Minatoya Kohei. Censors' seal: Hama, Magome. Oval seal with zodiac date (Rat, 5). Signs of wear. Bright colors.
Dramatic scene from the kabuki play " Shinzo Tsurifune Kidan," performed at the Ichimura theater, 5/1852. Sawamura Chôjûrô V and Seki Sanjûrô as Danshichi no Mohei and Motsurekami no Tokubei.
