Rare engraving from 1831 depicting in detail the now declining Ottoman Empire. The map depicts Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Arabia, Tartary and parts of India, China, Russia, Europe and Africa.The map was engraved by A. J. Lallemand as a plate for the first edition of the 'Atlas Universel de Geographie' by Pierre Lapie, a French cartographer and engraver active in the first half of the 19th century.
