1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Serial number: 226871N113543 Swiss registration ERRATUM: registration cancelled Certificate 846 A FFVE certificate Sold without technical inspection 93179 miles. No warranty Engine : V8 400ci (6.6L) 35 000 / 40 000€ The Firebird survived the oil crisis and long strikes at Pontiac in 1972, and was even the most successful model after this difficult period. 1971 Firebirds have dummy air extractors on the lower front fenders, a unique feature present on all models except the Trans Am. The car on display is a Firebird Formula 400ci (6.6L), more commonly known as the Firebird F400, with the famous 300hp engine and automatic gearbox. The car comes from Switzerland, imported by GM Switzerland in the early 70s. It has undergone a partial restoration. The engine was opened up, the body partly dismantled and repainted. The interior has been restored with new seat covers, a new bench seat, a new dashboard... The vehicle also features power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes. The exhaust system and headers are new, giving the vehicle a superb sound. There are adjustable rear shock absorbers and Rally II wheels. The interior retains its original look, with center console and radio fitted on arrival in Europe. Only 7,802 of the Firebirds produced were Formula 400s in 1971. ERRATUM: As the vehicles shown have not been on the road for several months, a service will be required.
