1963 Porsche 356 B Maching Numbers German registration Sold without technical inspection 90 000 / 110 000 The first owner was an American soldier who bought the car in Holland and took it with him to the USA. His name (Jacox) is engraved on the hubcaps. On his death, it was sold to a Swiss collector. Purchased from the second owner in 2003. At the time, it was in 100% original condition (many photos available). A partial restoration, preserving as many original elements as possible, could begin. The headliner and carpet were replaced, and the seats were only partially renovated. The rear seats and door panels are still original, dating from 1963. The engine has been fully restored with SC crankshaft, Carillo connecting rods and JE pistons, so the car now has around 90-95 HP instead of the original 75. The gearbox has also been completely refurbished. A CSP front disc brake kit has been fitted, but the original drum brakes are still in stock. A modern oil filter fitted with a thermostat that directs oil to the 2 front-mounted radiators when the oil exceeds 80° for better cooling was installed. The car is still in its original condition, with a few traces of use over its 61-year, accident-free life. A partial repaint has been carried out, but the roof and 2 hoods are still in original paint. The car is Matching Numbers. A new stainless steel exhaust pipe has been installed. She's ready for regularity rallies with her trip master, and is sure to please a new gentleman driver.
