Originally from Marseille like Damboise, Brigitte Baumas was his student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Another of Damboise's students, André Barelier, became Brigitte Baumas' husband. Both pursued careers as sculptors in their studios at La Ruche. Following Marcel Damboise's advice, their son Romain set up his own foundry.
Brigitte's portrait has been turned into busts in plaster and terracotta, as well as a marble mask.
