Jean Després (1889-1980)
Silver-plated, oval-shaped soup tureen with a plain, hammered body, standing on a foot decorated with a broad, filed gourmet chain motif, and fitted with two voluminous handles. The removable lid is topped by a domed knob-shaped handle, decorated with the same filed gourmet chain motif. With its oval, hammered display stand featuring a filed gourmette chain motif at the base. Engraved facsimile signature. Square hallmark for silver-plated metal, from the workshop of Jean Després.
