1 bottle, presumed to contain 1 Imperial Gallon (approx. 4.55 liters), presented in its traditional wicker wrapper (partially degraded). It is believed to be a rum from Jamaica, the famous Dark Navy Rum. One of the last bottles produced, it was sealed in December 1970, as indicated by the wax seal. Indeed, a few months earlier, the Royal Navy took the decision (on July 31, 1970) to abolish the daily ration of Rum (known as 'Tot') it gave its sailors, thus putting an end to a tradition dating back to 1655. This day is known as 'Black Tot Day'. A magnificent piece of Rum and British naval history!
