Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) was a French architect and designer. After studying at the École de l'Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, she founded her own interior design company. She worked with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in Paris in the 1920s, as an associate in charge of fittings and furniture. This experience strengthened her technical skills, knowledge and references, enabling her to create her own style, marked by a fresh impulse and modern design sensibility. Throughout her career, Charlotte Perriand has collaborated with some of the greatest names in design. She joined the Galerie Steph Simon with Jean Prouvé and worked with Serge Mouille, Francis Jourdain, Raymond Templier and Eileen Gray.
