DUROCASSES Dreux region 80 - 50 Stylized head on the left, hair represented by three coiled lines. R/. Three crosses arranged between two curved lines. Above, three dots in a triangle. Ground line composed of vertical lines. ? DT 2508 Potin (cast bronze). (2,61 g) Chipped. T.B. The Durocasses are not mentioned by Caesar in the Gallic Wars. They seem to have emancipated themselves from from Carnute control rather late, like the Parisii from that of the Senons. Their name means "the warriors of the fortified hill".
