4 L.A.S. to André Jaoul and his son. Paris, November 29, 1941 to July 10, 1952. 9 pp. in-12 and in-folio. One envelope enclosed. A fine set including a L.A.S. from Doctor T. Fraenkel, 5 C.V.A.S. including one from Constantin Brancusi to Michel Jaoul. All protected in a black leather document holder bearing the name of M. Jaoul (engraved in gold).
Interesting correspondence between these two friends. On November 29, he tells her "I left the painting I told you about with my concierge, which I hope will be for you [...] I don't know how to get it to you. I'm sure you'll find a way. Dimension 1.10m x 0.90m. The frame could be waxed with a matt varnish [...]"; to "Jaoul fils" [December 1942] he writes that his apartment is empty, and that he can repaint it if he wishes;
The last set includes wishes for Mr. Jaoul's wedding, and congratulations on the birth of his child.
