Pair of Brigadier General's epaulets in gold trimmings, with two silver stars, gilded fleur-de-lys buttons, lined with blue cloth and mounted on a hook; presented with a beige silk general's sash belt with two large tassels in silver trimmings, adorned with two gilded stars on each side. Restoration period. Good condition. Provenance: General Victor Joseph DELCAMBRE. Souvenirs of General Victor Joseph Delcambre (1770/1858): He began his military career in 1792, as a corporal then sergeant, sergeant-major in 1792, second lieutenant in 1793, assistant adjutant-general on December 25, 1793, lieutenant in 1796, captain in 1797, assistant to the general staff of the Mainz army on July 4, 1798, aide-de-camp to General Grenier in August 1978, battalion commander in 1799, adjutant-commandant on May 30, 1809, colonel of the 23rd léger in July 1809, Baron de Champvert on June 4, 1810, colonel-major of the 5th regiment of voltigeurs of the young guard on January 24, 1813, brigadier general on July 23, 1813. He took part in numerous battles, the main ones being: Fleurus, at the siege of Maastricht, Sulzbach, served in Italy, Genola, Hohenlinden, Wagram, Figuières, served in front of Hamburg at the battle of February 9, 1814, Waterloo on June 18, 1815... Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur on June 14, 1804, chevalier de la Couronne de Fer on August 15, 1809, officier de la Légion d'honneur on February 12, 1813, commander on September 27, 1814, grand officier on May 29, 1825, chevalier de Saint-Louis on January 29, 1814, chevalier de 3e classe de l'Aigle rouge de Prusse et Vicomte on February 10, 1824.
