"Pheasants.
Oil on panel in oval format.
In good condition.
Size: 21 x 26 cm; 34 x 39 cm (frame).
Painter of landscapes with birds and poultry, Karl Jutz was trained in art in Munich and Düsseldorf. His passion for poultry painting led him to build a coop for ducks and hens in his garden in order to study them in detail. His language is inspired by that of Gustav Süs, his great influence. On this occasion he offers us the image of a group of pheasants fluttering by a river. The space is drawn in depth, faithfully following the laws of perspective, with its lines clearly marked by the banks of the pond.
