Chouannerie/Guerres de Vendée: moving red felt scapular, presented in a 19th-century frame. Frame size: 14.5 x 14 cm, scapular alone: 5.5 x 4.4 cm when viewed. Insolate.
By tradition, this scapular comes from the Brouzils region, where royalist insurgents under the command of Charette and Joly took refuge (notably in the Grasla forest), fleeing the exactions of Turreau's Colonnes Infernales in 1794,
