Louis XVI style gilt bronze patinated regule CHIMNEY. The terminal clock is topped by a compass and a globe. Accosted by an allegory of Knowledge in the form of a cherub reading in metal with a medal patina. The terrace is decorated with friezes of pearls, laurel, ribbons and rosettes. Accompanied by two Antique-style vase cassolettes decorated with garlands and medallions, vegetal friezes, gadroons, palmettes and garlanded rushes on quadripod bases. The white enameled dial is signed "X. François", with its key (minor wear). Napoleon III period, after a model by François REMOND. Dim. 30 x 29 cm.
