OMEGA SPEEDMASTER. REF. 105.012-66 HF. Steel wristwatch with chronograph, 2nd model reference. CASE: symmetrical, straight handles (caseband type A1), small pump pushers (Type I), steel bezel, black aluminum insert, silver writing, "Tachymeter Base 1000", scale graduated to 300 (Type A6: Long 4). Engraved screw-down caseback, double bevel, "Speedmaster" in the center (Type A3). DIAL: black "swiss made" (Type A4) with three counters, applied Omega acronym, Omega (round O), no "professional" wording, baton index and radium hands, Alpha hands (Type B2, straight groove), white and straight seconds hand, white Alpha counter hands. MOVEMENT: mechanical, caliber Type A1, 321- 1st generation, N° 17.302.415. BRACELET: steel Omega ref. 1035, dated 68 (later), EL 506. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 40 mm. PROVENANCE: descendants of the first owner. PRODUCED CIRCA 1966 CASE: asymmetrical steel with matte steel lyre handles and polished oblique, made by Huguenin Frères S.A. (Type B1). Screw-down caseback engraved in the center with 'Speedmaster', seahorse and Omega logo, single-bevel (Type A4), dust cover, pump pushers, Omega logo crown (Type A1.24). Steel bezel, black aluminum insert with tachymeter scale graduated to 500 (Type B1). DIAL: black step 'T swiss made T' with spaced T's (Type B3), applied logo, 'professional' wording, tritium baton hour markers, three counters, white tritium baton hands and white counter hands, counterweighted 'drop' chrono hand (Type C1). MOVEMENT: mechanical, column-wheel, cal. 321, second generation. N° 24'950'771. STRAP: leather with steel buckle, signed. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 42 mm. -Reference 105.012 has a historic link with the conquest of space, and is associated with the Apollo missions. For the first time, it adopts a new case shape that protects the pushers and crown, and is also characterized by the wording 'Professional'. -Reference 105.012-66 was produced by two case manufacturers: Huguenin Frères and Centrale Boîtes S.A. -Huguenin Frères produced cases for Omega between 1957 and 1976. CONDITION REPORT : Used micro-scratches, unpolished case, well-marked edges. All parts are original. Various black paint chips on the insert. The movement was working at the time of writing, but cannot be guaranteed. Neither can the individual components, as repairs or restorations may have resulted in the replacement of some original parts. The movement has not been tested for accuracy, and may require service at the buyer's expense. All lots are sold as is, in accordance with the general conditions of sale. Microscratches from use. Case unpolished. Lack of painting on the bezel. Movement is ticking at time of cataloguing but cannot be guaranteed.
