SAROUK gallery carpet (Iran), late 20th century
Dimensions: 348 x 90cm.
Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing.
Two floral vases, from which exuberant bouquets emerge, frame a multi-colored, cruciform, poly-lobed floral composition. The whole is set on an ivory field. Brick border flanked by two bluish counter-borders, all three with garlands of foliage and flowers. Ivory outer braid. Nice freshness.
