SHOBI carpet (Pakistan), late 20th century
Dimensions: 172 x 125cm.
Technical features: wool velvet on cotton backing.
A brick field supports nine large multicolored entomic shapes interspersed with stylized plant corollas and other small symbols. The whole is framed by a wide navy border flanked by two ivory counter-borders, all three with polychrome flower garlands. Beautiful Caucasian decoration.
