Carpet cushion/bag KASHGAÏ (Persia), 1st third of the 20th century
Dimensions : 66 x 66cm.
Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing.
A large anthracite hexagonal medallion with multicolored vegetation, adorned with a large ivory blossoming corolla, sits on a wine-red field decorated with small floral stems and supported by two half-columns with zoomorphic capitals, of Achaemenid inspiration. Ivory border with polychrome entomic forms. Serrated border. A fine example of the work of the Kashgai nomads.
