Le Détachement 1966 Oil on canvas signed and dated lower right, countersigned, titled and dated "décembre 1966" on verso on the stretcher 100 x 81 cm Condition report: Framed A self-taught painter born in Chambéry, Andrée Pollier began exhibiting in Aix-les-Bains in 1938. Although her works were initially figurative and expressionist in tone, around 1960 she evolved towards monochrome figures with geometric forms, which the work we present illustrates. Her work echoes the Surrealist works of Yves Tanguy and Giorgio de Chirico.
His work was exhibited at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in 1965, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in 1984 and the Musée National d'Art Moderne in 1997.
