DETROY Léon (1857-1955). "Poplars". Pastel drawing signed lower right. 62 x 40 cm.
DETROY Léon (Chinon 1859 - Saint-Germain-d'Arcé 1955) was a French painter.
A post-impressionist artist, he is associated with the Crozant school.
Many of his paintings are held by the Musée Bertrand in Châteauroux, the Musée George Sand et de la Vallée Noire in La Châtre and the Musée Saint-Vic in Saint-Amand-Montrond.
