Lili BOULANGER (1893-1918). autograph musical manuscript, Faust et Hélène, Nice November 2, 1913; 1 oblong page in-8, framed.
Very rare musical autograph by this genial composer, who died at the age of 24.
This album page presents four bars for voice and piano from her cantata Faust et Hélène, with which she won the Prix de Rome in 1913 (for the first time awarded to a woman); it is Faust's aria, marked "doux et ému": "Ne te souviens plus du passé qui pleure". At the bottom of the page, dedication "to Mademoiselle G. Cassin Lili Boulanger November 2, 1913 Nice".
