Provenance: Amateur collection A 18k yellow gold manual winding lady's wristwatch, concealed dial, gold bracelet with sage leaf design From a connoisseur From the 1950s onwards, the flower became the muse of Boucheron watchmaking. It inspired new designs, and the bracelets of women's watches became the focus of a veritable exercise in style. As rigid as it is light, the strap of this secret watch is worked in a sage leaf motif. According to a similar example in the Boucheron archives, reproduced in the reference work "Boucheron le joaillier du temps", this design was created around 1953. From the 1950s, the flower became the muse of Boucheron watchmaking. It inspired new designs, and the bracelets of lady's watches became a veritable exercise in style. As rigid as it is light, the strap of the present watch is worked in a sage leaf motif. According to a similar example in the Boucheron archives, reproduced in the reference work "Boucheron le joaillier du temps", this design can be dated to circa 1953.
