VAN CLEEF & ARPELS ''CADENAS'', circa 1935/40. Ladies' wristwatch in 750 thousandths gold, the case in the shape of a padlock enhanced by a line of calibrated sapphires, square gilt dial with applied and engraved hour-markers. Screw-down caseback bearing the VERGER Frères hallmark, caseback signed. Mechanical movement. Bracelet in 750 thousandths gold, two-strand snake chain, embellished with a 750 thousandths gold ratchet clasp, accented with identical sapphire calibres, numbered 58525-295. Gross weight: 71.90 g.
