Théophile GAUTIER (1836-1904) Autograph letter signed, on the letterhead of Le Figaro Illustré, dated August 23, 1892, addressed to the man of letters Abraham Dreyfus, concerning an untraceable manuscript. "René Martin told me about a manuscript you gave to the Figaro Illustré. I can find no trace of it anywhere, either in my notebooks, which I keep regularly, or in my memory. If I'd had anything from you, I certainly wouldn't have buried it in my boxes, because it would have been an event in my life. One page in-8, in brown ink, small ink smudges.
