General Melas [Michael von Melas, commander-in-chief of the Austrian army] asked the outposts to send me General Skal [Ferdinand von Skal und Gross-Ellgut] and we agreed during the day on the convention of which you will find a copy attached, which was signed during the night by General Berthier and General Melas.
