First edition of this precious and very rare account of the coronation of King Henri IV. As the city of Reims was in the hands of the Ligueurs, the coronation took place in Chartres Cathedral. Several texts of this kind were published after the coronation to support the King's accession, despite numerous breaches of coronation protocol. As for the publisher, Julliéron, he was widely known to be in favor of Henri IV.

A luxurious copy bound in morocco, lined with the coat of arms of Count René de Galard de Béarn, whose ancestors had helped Henri de Navarre - then known as le Béarnais - to ascend the throne.
