Description of the festivities given to Their Majesties the Emperors Napoleon and Alexander, and several other crowned heads on October 6 and 7, 1808 in Weimar and Jena by H.S.H. Charles-Augustus Duke of Saxe-Weimar. Very rare album published on the occasion of the meeting and talks between Napoleon I and Alexander I in Erfurt, from September 22 to October 14, 1808.
The plates show: 1. black portraits of the sovereigns present (engraved by C.A. Schwerdgeburth). - 2. the order of the imperial table at the reception in Weimar on October 6, 1808 (in black). - 3. view of the obelisk erected on October 6 in front of Weimar Castle (on a tinted background, engraved by Ermer after Steiner). - 4. visit to the Jena battlefield by the two sovereigns (in color, by Geissler). - 5. The deer hunt given in honor of the two Emperors (in color, by Schwerdgeburth).
