Pair of naval officer's pistols.
Round, flattened barrels with thunderbolts, nicely decorated in gold with foliage, shells and flowers, hallmarked. Lock plates signed "Dauphiné Le Neveu à Tulle" and flat-bodied swan-neck hammers. Pan-shaped iron basins. Decorated, cut-out iron fittings. Long-eared knobs. Walnut stocks carved with leaves and flowers on the breech tails. Wooden sticks.

A.B.E. Circa 1780-1800. Blued barrels, traces of use.
"Dauphiné dit Le Neveu" in reference to his uncle, who practiced between 1760 and 1780, and whom he succeeded until 1808.
He seems to have been a member of the factory staff.
