Biography :
Philippe Henri, Marquis de SÉGUR, Marshal of France (1724-1801)
Maréchal de camp (1749) then lieutenant-general (1760), he distinguished himself during the Seven Years' War. Secretary
Secretary of State for War in 1780, then Marshal of France in 1783, he created a permanent corps of staff officers
(1783) and completed Saint-Germain's reorganization.
