Biography :
Fanny de Beauharnais (1738-1813), aunt to Josephine and grandmother to Princess Stéphanie, remains famous today above all for having welcomed into her blue and silver salon men and women of letters such as Mme Dubocage, Cubières, Mercier, Cazotte and Rétif de la Bretonne, as well as aristocrats and politicians.
