RARE PAYSANNE BLOUSE in fine blue cotton with crew neck and no ventral opening. Rich embroidery in white linen thread with Bas Normand motifs on neckline, shoulders, cuffs and side pocket openings (slight wear on collar). Used by cattle merchants in the Marches de Bretagne (Fougères, Antrain, Liffré...). Late 19th century.
