A pupil at the Georges Regnault studio, from whom she learned "the treatment of light, the expressive importance of the brushstroke, the association of complementary colors and the passage of values from one tone to another", she continued her apprenticeship with Jean-Marc Lange to acquire "the work of superimpositions, the application of glazes that give this deep intensity to colors" and with the portrait painter Édouard Mac Avoy. His paintings were exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne, and found their way into "collections all over the world, including the Marietta University Museum in Atlanta".
