A JAPANESE LACQUER WOODEN TEMPLE TABLE. TAISHO PERIOD (1912-1926)
Charming lacquer wooden temple sutra altar 経机 (kyôzukue) is beautifully finished with a glossy black lacquer, highlighted by gilded accents.
Its top surface features elegant scrolling ends and is supported by four console-shaped feet, each adorned with decorative rims. Below, these feet are united by a rectangular base, at the center of which lies a reticulated flower design.
Period: Japan - Taishô period (1912-1926).

Height 29.5 cm, Width 43.5 cm. Depth 31 cm.
The sutra altar is in a good restored condition with some traces of wear conforming age. A bit wobbly.
