A KHURASAN COPPER INLAID BRONZE DISH, PERSIA SELJUK, 12TH CENTURY
Of circular form with flat base, straight sides and everted flat rim, engraved and decorated in copper inlay to the well with a central roundel enclosing
a royal seated figure, the rim with inscriptions, the exterior of the sides with cartouches filled with inscriptions, punctuated by roundels with birds.
Diameter: 17.5 cm.

bi'l-yumn wa al-barakah wa/ wa al-dawlah wa al-sur/ur wa al-sa'adah wa/ wa al-salamah wa al-kir/amah wa al-shifa'ah/ wa l-tammah al-sahib (sic) [li-sahibihi]
'With good fortune and blessing and wealth and joy and happiness and well-being and generosity and [Prophet's] intercession and plenitude, the owner [to its owner]'
